MEMORIAL PARK `BUBANJ` ADAPTATION ACCORDING TO PROJECT DYNAMICS

President of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic with his associates, representatives from the Institute for cultural monuments protection and Public Enterprise `Gorica` from Nis, visited Memorial Park Bubanj area around Memorial place and Amphitheatre reconstructed within the project of cross border cooperation Bulgaria – Serbia ` `Cooperation for sustainable development of cultural tourism in Municipalities Bobov Dol and Palilula`.`MD Gradnja Inzenjering Transport – Nis` was selected on the tender for the contractor and implementation of works, and has the deadline until October 15 when the works from the project should have been completed.

It is expected that this locality will be also visited by the representatives of European Union so that they could see that the planned works and approved resources in the amount of 121,666 Euros are according to the project. According to Milos Stojadinovic, project manager, beside the reconstruction and construction of the seats in the Amphitheatre will be done also the paths around the memorial monument within the park surfaces, reconstruction of the fountain and plateau, construction of benches in wider area of memorial park, new plants.

Project Coul Tour is being realized within the project of cross border cooperation of Serbia Bulgaria and represents part of activities on the adaptation of this complex - emphasizes Boban Dzunic. We are expecting new donations since we have the space for further work on the spreading of the project content. General aim of the project, that is being realized in the partnership with Bobov Dol Municipality in Bulgaria, emphasizes president of Palilula Municipality, is promotion and development of cultural tourism in cross border region over the improvement and modernization of two municipalities infrastructure. With the round visit and inspection of the state of works on the terrain, also emphasizes Dzunic, with the contractors and supervising organ we are taking into account all the obstacles and dilemmas that can affect the dynamics of the works in `Bubanj` memorial park.

With this the work in the park has not been completed yet it is said in Palilula Municipality. It is necessary to reconstruct water supply, lights and technical security to set up toilettes, develop programmes that could attract visitors – tourists; open informative tourist center, provide protection and necessary stuff of the objects in memorial park and regular maintaining. In contrary, we will go back to the beginning of the story and take up some new action of the adaptation and reconstruction of park `Bubanj` that will celebrate 50 years from the opening of memorial park and 33 years from the announcement of cultural heritage of great importance.
